Italy
Venice to Lake Como, slowly.
Venice · Florence · Milan · Tuscany · Siena · Pienza · San Gimignano · Cinque Terre · Lake Como · Bellagio
CITY BY CITY
Ten places, one Italy
Each place gets its moment. The little map shows you where we are.
CHAPTER 01
Venice
A city that floats, and somehow floats your heart with it. Get lost on purpose; Venice always gives you back.
CHAPTER 02
Milan
All polish and quiet confidence. Come for the Duomo’s marble lace, stay for the aperitivo hour.
CHAPTER 03
Lake Como
Where the mountains lean down to kiss the water. Slow mornings were invented here.
CHAPTER 04
Bellagio
The pearl of the lake, all cobbled lanes and silk-shop windows. Arrive by boat, leave reluctantly.
CHAPTER 05
Cinque Terre
Five villages painted in gelato colors, holding onto the cliffs. Walk between them, swim where you land.
CHAPTER 06
Florence
The city that taught the world beauty. Every street corner here is somebody’s masterpiece.
CHAPTER 07
San Gimignano
A skyline of medieval towers, frozen in a golden hour that never quite ends.
CHAPTER 08
Siena
Terracotta, candlelight, and that shell-shaped piazza. Siena does not rush, and neither will you.
CHAPTER 09
Pienza
The little town built as an ideal, pecorino in the air and the whole valley below.
CHAPTER 10
Tuscany
Not a place, a pace. Cypress roads, long lunches, and light that behaves like honey.
